TCB 2027: the event and its WFP spots

TCB describes itself as the biggest and most traditional fitness competition in Brazil. It began in 2010 as a small meet organised by CrossFit Brasil, the country's first box (founded in 2009 in Lapa, São Paulo), and has grown into a season with an online stage, in-person regional qualifiers and a four-day final. The 2026 season was its 17th; the online TCB 4ALL drew 1,550 Elite men and 809 Elite women. Recent finals were held in São Paulo (2024) and Guarujá (2025, 2026).

The 2027 rules are not out yet. In 2026 the season had three phases: TCB 4ALL, a compulsory online stage (four workouts released on 1 February, video submissions until 10 February); four two-day in-person Super Seletivas in May (Rio de Janeiro, Sorocaba twice, São José); and a four-day Final in September. The top 8 Elite men, top 4 Elite women and top 4 Master 35-39 men from 4ALL went straight to the Final, as did the adaptive categories; everyone else qualified through a Seletiva. Masters, teen and adaptive categories finished on the Saturday, the rest on the Sunday.

Dates for 2027 are not published. In 2026: TCB 4ALL online stage (registration from 1 Dec 2025, workouts released 1 Feb 2026, last video deadline 10 Feb 2026 at 21:59 Brasília time, final leaderboard 10 April), then four in-person Super Seletivas in May 2026 (9-10 May Rio de Janeiro, 16-17 and 23-24 May Sorocaba, 30-31 May São José). In 2026 TCB 4ALL was also the official online qualifier for the Copa Sur CrossFit Semifinal (Elite and Teams).

2026 Final, 1st/2nd/3rd: Elite men and women R$20,000/15,000/10,000 each; Teams R$15,000/12,000/10,000; Master 35-39 men and women R$6,000/5,000/4,000; Master 40-44 R$4,500/4,000/3,500; Master 45-49 R$3,500/3,000/2,500; Master 50-54 men and 50+ women R$2,500/2,000/1,500; Master 55+ men R$2,000/1,500/1,000; Teen SUB 15 boys R$2,000/1,500/1,000; Teen 16-17 boys and Teen girls R$2,500/2,000/1,500; adaptive categories R$2,000/1,000/500. Taxes may be deducted. Each 2026 Super Seletiva also paid Elite men and women R$5,000/4,000/3,000, plus R$500 per Elite workout win across the four Seletivas.

   17th season. Final 17-20 Sep 2026 in Guarujá (SP), at Ginásio Municipal Guaibê and Complexo do Tejereba (the first event included a 550 m sea swim). Winners: Elite men Mateus Romão (CF Monstros), Elite women Emily Andrade (Brave Fitness Factory), Teams CrossFit Ponta Negra. Elite podium: Romão, Bernardo Torquato Costa, João Pedro Barcelos; Emily Andrade, Thays França, Lillian Nagao. TCB 4ALL 2026 drew 1,550 Elite men and 809 Elite women.

2. 2025

   Final 25-28 Sep 2025 at Ginásio Municipal Guaibê, Guarujá (SP), after TCB 4ALL in February and four Seletivas in June (Anápolis, Rio de Janeiro, Sorocaba, São José). Winners: Elite men Bernardo Torquato Costa, Elite women Emily Andrade, Teams Soren BTO (Soren CrossFit). Elite champions and runners-up earned direct spots at the CrossFit Games Semifinal (Copa Sur).

3. 2024

   New format: online TCB 4ALL with a record 4,942 entrants (1,728 went on to four in-person Seletivas: Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Sorocaba, São José). Final 26-29 Sep 2024 at Ginásio Estadual Geraldo José de Almeida (Ibirapuera), São Paulo. Winners: Elite men Henrique Moreira, Elite women Emily Andrade, Teams Morereps Centrum (Vittoria CrossFit). Master 55+ and the split teen boys' categories debuted.

4. 2023

   Seven regional Seletivas, a record 2,665 entrants, final at Arena Sorocaba for the third time.

5. 2022

   Record 2,255 entrants, new Master 50+ category, six regional Seletivas and the first final in São Paulo city (Complexo do Ibirapuera).

6. 2021

   Online qualifiers (TCB 4ALL) and a reduced final without spectators in Vinhedo (SP).

7. 2020

   Pandemic year: new online 4ALL format and a final without spectators, held for the first time in Vila Velha (ES).

8. 2019

   Second consecutive final in Sorocaba (SP); more than 1,500 entrants in the qualifying stages.

9. 2018

   First final in Sorocaba; a third Master category, same-box teams and the first Super Seletivas (six events).

10. 2017

    Masters split into two categories, Teen debut, final in Valinhos (SP).

11. 2016

    Master category debuts.

12. 2015

    Regional Seletivas qualified 82 competitors; record crowd of 14,000 over three days.

13. 2014

    Eight regional Seletivas qualified 86 athletes for the final in Barueri (SP); more than 10,000 spectators.

14. 2013

    Field set by Open results: 75 athletes, more than 4,000 spectators.

15. 2012

    First professional edition, in a sports hall in Barueri (SP), with 108 athletes.

16. 2010

    First tournament, organised by CrossFit Brasil to bring together athletes from other states.
