What is the World Fitness Project?
A competitive fitness league with the motto “For Athletes, By Athletes”. In 2027 its season is the World Fitness Series.
Is WFP the same as the CrossFit Games?
No. It is a different competition with its own events, rules and qualification path.
What is the 2027 World Fitness Series?
10 qualifying events on 4 continents, from 16 April to 7 November 2027, awarding spots to the World Fitness Championship.
Where and when are the 2027 Series events?
Athens (16-18 Apr), Naples (25-27 Jun), Daytona Beach (2-4 Jul), Overland Park (23-25 Jul), Bogotá (14-16 Aug), São Paulo (4-7 Sep), Barcelona (10-12 Sep), Wollongong (24-26 Sep), Oslo (15-17 Oct) and Scottsdale (5-7 Nov).
Does WFP organise the Series events?
Not directly. Every stop is a partner event with its own organiser.
Is Oslo Throwdown in the 2027 Series?
Yes. It is an official stop, on 15 to 17 October 2027, with 11 spots across 9 divisions.
Is Turin part of the Series?
No. Turin is a separate UBL event and is not listed as a Series stop.
Does the November 2026 Down Under count for 2027?
Not on record: only the 24 to 26 September 2027 edition is part of the Series.
Where and when is the 2027 World Fitness Championship?To be confirmed
Venue and date are to be confirmed.
How do I qualify for the Championship?
By earning a spot at one of the 10 Series events, in a division that awards spots.
How many Championship spots are there?
26 per gender (52 in total) in Pro, at least 9 per gender in Masters, at least 4 in Elite Teams of Four, at least 8 in Next Gen and at least 1 per offered pairs category, at 7 events.
How many Pro spots does each event award?To be confirmed
Athens, Naples and Oslo each publish 3 Elite individual spots. The rest is to be confirmed.
Which divisions are there?
Pro, Masters (35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54 and 55+), Pairs, Elite Teams of Four and Next Gen (13-16 and 17-22). Each event offers its own.
How is age calculated in Masters?To be confirmed
The reference date is set by each event. Athens Throwdown, for example, uses 18 April 2027. WFP’s general 2027 rule is to be confirmed.
Do I have to travel to qualify?
The spot is decided at each event’s in-person final. Many have an online qualifier first.
When is the Naples online qualifier?
From 15 February to 15 March 2027.
Do I have to record my workouts?To be confirmed
In online qualifiers, yes: Athens Throwdown requires public YouTube videos, reviewed by its judges, and WFP’s 2026 rulebook asked for video of every workout. Validation at the other Series stops is to be confirmed.
Which rulebook applies in 2027?
The one for the event you compete in. WFP’s general 2027 rulebook is not published; the 2026 one is the reference.
How much does WFP pay?
In 2026, $1,966,000 across the Pro divisions. There is no published global purse for 2027; each stop announces its own.
Can I get a refund if I can’t compete?
Under the 2026 rulebook, registrations are final with no refunds or transfers. Athens Throwdown applies the same rule.
How can I watch the events?To be confirmed
The broadcast of the Series and the 2026 Finals is to be confirmed; there are replays of the 2026 Tour Stops and tickets on sale for the Finals.
What is a Pro Card?
A guaranteed minimum contract for the season’s best. In 2026 it is offered to the top 20 men and top 20 women on points.
What is the Rec League?
An online-only competition with a $15 entry that does not qualify you for in-person events.
