CrossFit National Championships 2027
In 2027 the National Champion title changes: athletes go from the Open to the Quarterfinals and then to a national event in their own country, the National Championships. Whoever wins that event takes the title. If your country has no event, the champion comes from the best of the Open or the Quarterfinals.

What they are, plainly
In 2026 the national champion was whoever got furthest in the season, with this hierarchy: Games, Online Semifinals, Quarterfinals and Open. In 2027 the criterion changes: the title is decided by the path Open, Quarterfinals and, if your country has one, a national championship.
It is a parallel track to the Games. You can chase both at once.
Who can compete
- You must compete in the Open and the Quarterfinals, with scores in every workout.
- You must be a citizen of the country the event represents.
- Individual men and women divisions only.
How you qualify
The top 10 from each country in the Quarterfinals qualify automatically for their country’s event. The remaining spots depend on the event: they can come from the Quarterfinals leaderboard or from the organiser’s own qualifier. One event can host several countries.
If someone who isn’t a citizen wins, the title passes to the best-placed citizen.
If your country has no event
In countries without an event, the top finisher from the Open or Quarterfinals is named National Champion. Events can apply to host a National Championship until 30 October 2026 and must be held between April and 31 December 2027. The list of events and countries is to be confirmed.
What events must meet
Organisers need at least a three-year track record, experience with large fields of 150+ athletes, a link to a CrossFit affiliate and a minimum field of 30 men and 30 women (with flexibility for smaller countries). They must automatically invite the top 10 Quarterfinals finishers from that country.
